The only place you cannot find a majority of Americans who want to curb gun violence in our schools is in Congress. The lack of courage in the officials we choose to lead us is astounding! Time to make better choices on who we choose to lead us.

Trump: "Despite a very high popularity and, according to many, among the greatest 8 months in Presidential History..." We know Trump doesn't drink alcohol, which is known to cause hallucinations, so we'll need to dig deeper to find the cause of these episodes.

Hmm...the Bridgegate affair started in 2013 and charges were brought in 2015. Trump hired Christy to be chairman of his transition team in May 2016. Whatever illegal act Trump thinks Christy committed didn't seem to bother him, then. But Christy said something Trump didn't like this morning, so...

Sam Seaborn in the West Wing: "The first thing I look for in a president is a mind at work." Policies aside, leaders like Lincoln, Reagan, Obama and Kennedy were highly regarded around the world because they led with dignity, humility, civility, and thoughtfulness. Trump on the other hand?

Abby Phillip's CNN show tonight is an absolute train wreck! Everyone screaming over each other. Ben Ferguson simply refuses to let anyone talk, and everything he says is so predictable because it's obvious he's stuck on the extreme right. Abby, please try harder to find better panelists.

A drawback of the modernization of technology - the creation of new media platforms that give us people like Charlie Kirk. He would never have been heard on radio or appeared on TV in past decades, but with podcasts and social media, he gets to poison society virtually every hour of every day.

Rather than having Trump's team rewrite history according to "their view" of slavery, it would be useful to conduct a listening tour with the ancestors of slaves to gain their perspectives on how they believe the story of slavery should be told. My sense is that is what's already in the Smithsonian.

One is the saddest things about the Trump administration is we have endure complete crackpots like Stephen Miller. In another time, with his views of the world, he'd have been cast aside to the outskirts of society. Under Trump, he may well be the most dangerous voice inside The White House.

Dollars to donuts every world leader left yesterday with a sick feeling. They knew prior to coming that Trump was an incompetent bully, but sucking up to him in the White House, surrounded by his gold toys, had to be galling to them. They know they have to capitulate to REGAIN U.S. support. Sad!

Trump's team doesn't yet understand that when the history of the Trump administration is written, it will include images of the Jan. 6 riot and tanks and soldiers in the streets of Washington DC, LA, etc. No President before this one ever wanted to be remembered for those types of images.

Does Witkoff read history? Hitler made similar promises to the Soviet Union signing a nonaggression pact in 1939. In 1941, Hitler violated the pact and attacked the Soviets killing millions. No President before this one would place any trust in Putin to keep his word.

This is Trump's version of America - what happens around the world doesn't impact America. So, we eliminate a majority of USAID support, tariff countries so we only purchase from US companies at much higher prices, and kick out as many immigrants as possible. America First = America Alone.

It saddens me, but I fully expect Trump will eventually receive a Nobel Peace Prize. Very few organizations have stood up to Trump - not media outlets, Congressional Republicans, the Supreme Court, universities, NATO members, etc. Trump getting an award with peace in its name would be tragic!

The begging campaign for a Nobel Peace Prize continues. I still recall the sick feeling I had when a veteran gave his Purple Heart medal to Trump in 2014. What kind of leader accepts that gift? The correct response should have been-"Thank you, but I cannot accept this. I didn't earn it - you did."
dski1973.bsky.social (@dski1973.bsky.social) reply parent
I've always felt that individuals received the Nobel Peace Prize because they were sincerely interested in achieving peace, not because they wanted a new medal.

Trump wants a Purple Heart, though he has never done anything to earn one. He wants the Kennedy Center named after him, though he's made no positive contributions to the arts. He desperately wants a Nobel Peace Prize, though he's done more to promote division and hatred than any president, ever.
