A few years ago I was on a software development team working on a mobile app. The team had about 8 engineers, a product manager, and a designer. The annual burn rate was well over a million dollars a year for the company.

With the _current_ commercially available AI tools, this team could easily be reduced to 4 engineers, maybe fewer. And that’s not taking into account where we will be 12 months from now.
