Honestly Hunter Thompson fans are all over the map. I'm not even sure you can call them a type. There are lots of teenage boys who smoke pot but even they are a pretty diverse bunch. Anyway, I think he was extremely inconsistent.

His political writing was...excellent. I recommend *Better Than Sex* (1994) as his last hurrah.
