How is a Sheriff not law enforcement?
How is a Sheriff not law enforcement?
Sheriff Is a public office that controls a paramilitary. I’m saying that your argument is clearer from a Marxist perspective if it involves public office, rather than arguing against your position. You’re correct that we should be contesting all forms of power.
The other people are far-right impostors, one of the first rule is to access power, for instance guns and authority, but these people are saying shit like "blacks should not join law enforcement because law enforcement is racist". It has a "Marxist" / "Leftist" dress, but under it, it's far-right.
You will also never win any arguments with those “lefts” and anarchists. Their job is to clear away any real opposition to fascism.
Notice how much I triggered them too, 4 posts with almost similar content, some dude harassed me by putting my data in a website Very odd, especially since the idea to have leftist join law enforcement makes perfect sense Blacks have been trying to do this for the exact reason to try to change it
The one critique I will offer you is that doing it as an individual alone doesn’t work to your goal. A person would need a support system and a larger political movement behind them, or else it does fail the way they said. They’re only wrong because they also dismiss collective organized efforts.
Black people joining the force don't have a support system though, you can't just wait for this "system" to be created.
We used to have orgs. We need them again. Your idea is only valid if we do.
Being organized is obviously better (sometimes) but sometime being a hero, like Snowden, means to sacrifice yourself for others, alone. I mean you should do whatever he did anonymously if you can, except if you intend to sell books. Who knows how many illegal shit ICE is doing?
That’s fine and all but Snowden accomplished nothing, precisely because there’s no organization capable of political power that was on his side. That’s the whole point.
I think he achieved a lot, it could have gone better though.
I read you as implying this because you said we (collectively, to the left) should do this, as a group, which I think is correct, but in terms of priorities, I think we need to build the political org that supports it first before anyone applies for the job.
I don't say every leftist should join, but if you are unemployed, why not. Or if you are unhappy at your job.
I agree that it’s better to have an infiltrator on the inside, ready to put their body onto the gears of the machine, but real liberation comes from the conquest of political power over these institutions.
I'm sure these people are scared the fuck out someone will infiltrate them and leak their names or report whatever illegal shit they are doing.
They are more annoyed than scared.
Exactly what I was thinking. They are far-right impostors, just misleading people as much as possible.
