back when i worked at a regional park, i would bend the rules and tell people what caused a downtime if i thought it would help the situation. and most of the time it genuinely helped. the frontline employees who are in the park can tell who can handle the information and who can't.

oh one more thing - the park doesnt even really record information about what caused a downtime. at least, not in any way that would help the general public parse what's going on. at most parks, you either get "operational/weather/mechanical" or a HUGE list of downtime codes with WAY too much detail
