Actually, interestingly enough, one thing Trump does have is the power to give Ukraine to Putin. I don’t understand why he hasn’t. It would be simple for the US to stop all funding to Ukraine, stop the EU from supplying them with arms, turn off Musk’s Starlink and the GPS system. Why not yet?
Probably because such a move would be interpreted as a OPENLY surrendering move, that he would all public support from NATO, and likely provoke the US Congress to oppose him, because he doesn´t have full Republican support to let Ukraine just die in the hands of Russia.

Most of that might be feasible, but I don't think that any US President could PREVENT the European countries from supplying Ukraine with arms - and it might just tip the balance to get the European NATO countries into the fight alongside Ukraine.
The risk there is that Putin will threaten a nuclear response on a major EU city and Trump won’t come to their aid (not invoking Article V and thus ending NATO as we know it. No nuclear deterrent from the U.S. will force the EU’s hand bc Poland, the Baltics, and Finland are then fully at risk.
France would like a word on that nuclear thingy you're mentioning. And when they're done, Great Britain would kindly take their place to talk a bit more on that. And no, those are not US-weapons.
Of course they have weapons (500 or so between them). But UK is reliant on the U.S. to keep their trident launchers operational and France has not historically been interested in threatening its arsenal for other countries. Poland and the Baltics even Germany would be without a shield.

And no US in NATO means the limited capabilities of the EU countries will have a very hard time. No meaningful nuclear deterrent. Limited logistics capabilities. No Starlink for EU. Trump can turn off everything: intelligence support via satellites, the GPS network for managing military flights.
It might also expose that, just as with Putin's military, money that should have been maintaining the Russian nuclear arsenal bought yachts & other toys for Russian oligarchs. Americans might not care how close Alaska is to Russia, but Europe is quite sure Putin is not to be trusted - nor Trump.

By “give” I simply mean Trump can make it literally impossible for Ukraine to function in its war effort there by handing Putin certain immediate victory. It would be easy for Trump to stop the EU from supplying UKR. He simply cuts off their financial flows and the EU would shut down overnight.
Europe would continue helping them with funding and weapons. They would not simply STOP COLD, all weapons and funding. It would make it harder on Ukraine, but russia wouldn´t be able to continue easily. Ukraine would still have money and weapons from European armies.

The US has an agreement with other NATO countries to defend Ukraine, it was made in 1994. It would go against the agreement do do otherwise. It would also be more proof that the US is an unreliable ally. Trump needs to do what was promised.

The only time it has ever been invoked was after 9/11 and for the U.S., and now he’s backing out. So you can forget that UKR agreement in return for abandoning their nukes.

Wrong on both counts. If trump stops aid to Ukraine he would be in contempt of Congress ans liable for impeachment. Not to mention reaction from voters. trump cannot stop the EU from all aid, it would be the death of democracy in EU, and the EU leaders know it.
