I feel the same can be said of fellow Sheffielders Pulp. Their sound just captures something you can only capture through immersion.

As someone from Sheffield who's going to see Pulp on Friday, I agree! That sordid aspect of Pulp comes partly from working mens clubs, and the pastoral aspects on We Love Life are a celebration of Sheffield's ecosystem.
