There’s always going to be some things in the past that actually were better, but to focus on those parts while ignoring everything else is silly. Like it’s actually amazing I can watch 99% of the movies that have ever been made whenever and wherever I want. Living in the future rules.

The accessibility of media is crazy now. You used to have to hunt to find tapes of certain films (which was me with Eraserhead in the mid 90s). I just worry if this makes things all more likely to congeal into an indistinguishable media soup.
