It’s not the place of a president to put people in prison. But I do notice how many on the left admire the anti-Constitutional, extra-judicial authoritarianism of the GOP administration.

1. Don’t call me dude. 2. That’s a lot of goal post moving. NY got 34 felony convictions & voters needed to do their part and reject him for pres 3. I am not here to defend Biden for trying to be cute by nominating the guy Republicans denied a SCOTUS seat as AG. I said at the time that was bullshit

I don’t think Biden was “trying to be cute” by nominating Garland. The guy had unimpeachable credentials, relevant experience, and a proven track record investigating, prosecuting and getting guilty verdicts in domestic terrorism cases. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021...

We’ll have to agree to disagree on this one. I’m not saying Garland didn’t have an exemplary career. I’m saying that picking a guy with a careful temperament worthy of SCOTUS was the wrong choice given the urgency of the moment. Sally Yates was right there, as were so many others.
