I recently visited the Lowry in Manchester and was surprised by how enjoyable his work is, IRL, despite its familiarity. Some of his paintings of the sea were new to me, which was an added bonus.

Another place I really have to get to. Been waiting for a reason to go to Manchester/Salford for years, might just have to give up and go as a tourist.
