I've been battling with this sodding painting for months. What ever possessed me to decide to paint a sunny barley field? Not at all happy with it but thought I'd share to show I've been painting & what an effing tortuous process it can be. Might be destined for the bin 24x24 inches Oil on MDF

There's a late 19th century English School feel to it, but with a wide angle lens early 21st century composition. And in Arthur Negus' words: "they're always worth more as a pair"!

I like it, a lot. The angle and the focus are fabulous. The movement pulls you in. Don't bin it. Leave it somewhere obvious in your house, and give it to the next visitor who stops to admire it.

You posted "stop the boats" without even using the quotation marks the headline writers chose to use. By initially choosing to frame it like this, rather than as 'immigration controls', you are repeating the attack line from Farage, which can only help him.

Add in a meeting, where you want to be well informed, and able to look up what you need to know, very rapidly (possibly at 70mph) you reach information overload. Professional drivers know their job is complex and demanding, not to be interrupted. If you're driving for work, be a professional.

But even these menus cause problems. There is a real movement away from touch screens, and towards old fashioned knobs and buttons. The dangers of having to navigate the menus on touchscreen whilst driving, when all they want to do is change the radio station and turn the AC down, are obvious.

What if your company provides you with this in-car technology. Will you be able to refuse to take meetings whilst driving? Would you feel comfortable refusing to? Will there always be one team member who'll use it, in order to show they're more 'motivated'?
Tim Manwaring (@timmanwaring.bsky.social)
I have seen the collapse in drivers' anticipation when taking hands free calls, this is an awful development. Driving is a complex procedure, reliant on timely reactions and clear communication with potentially hundreds of other road users during a journey. This could be catastrophic.

I agree with Stig. A ****A+++ camera may have fungus ('few fine threads'), whereas an A* from another seller may be mint.
