I (and most Canadians) use metric with exceptions: - feet+inches for height: 5'9" not 175cm - lb.s for weight, and ALWAYS lb+oz for newborns - liquor: "40 ouncer" ~1.18L or "26er" (aka "a fifth" (gallon) US) ~750ml. Beer usu. 341ml bottle/can = 12oz. And: US oz, not Imperial 😵💫 - °F for baking
Many (most?) Cdn kitchens have a fridge magnet or corkboard chart that converts recipe quantities, e.g. cups / oz / Tbsp / tsp to ml, and oven temps (F to C for baking).

Ohhhhhhh drooling! Over the Hemsworth, although maple syrup isn't bad either. And NZ is not full of venomous things, so I'm STILL wary as didn't grow up knowing one spider from another!
