I'm still in #Aug100 contention by the skin of my teeth: I need straight 3s (or better) in the next 3 days. As to SqW: not to jinx it 🤞 but I'm having a great month. My August avg today is 6.39(!) and unless I stuff it up, I'm on track to beat my previous personal best of 6.46 last February.
Unusually for my generation, I was NOT taller than my dad growing up, and always wanted to be. Eventually, well into his 80s, I was taller as he shrank, and I didn't want it at all 😢

Interesting! Canada adopted metric about the same time (early-mid 1970s) as Aus+NZ, so we are of an age to have learned pounds (feet & miles, gallons, Fahrenheit…) & switched. I'm comfortable in both, younger 🇨🇦 aren't. I use "how many feet in a yard?" as age test 😆 Was therapist "olding" you? 🤨
That's how I use up so much scratch paper doing SqW, writing the combos under a grid of remaining letters (assuming I've solved or am close). Since I play either while still absorbing morning coffee or after midnight (when new SqW is up) I'm not quick: could be 15m but usu. an hour per game.
