My sons are in their early 30s and their circle of friends still talk about my late wife's cooking when they were in their teens It was running joke that, from the other end of town, they could all smell when she was frying chicken and would show up at our door

One of the things I enjoyed about the film Attack the Block was way it reminded me of their circle of friends. My parents often took our friends with us on vacations- I did same for sons. They remember things I forgot even though they were pre-teens

That's great. Same. I had friends who took me places, and we did the same for my son's friends. They talk about that stuff now that they're older. Sometimes, we're building important memories, and we don't even realize it.
