If you don’t think hipsters as a style trend was influential, you are probably younger than 36..

Try looking at it from the perspective of corporate marketing, not a 36 year old reminiscing about what was trendy when they were younger and had little buying power. If you’re younger than 36, you have no recollection of changing formulas, accessibility, marketing & popularity over the last 40 yrs
Is that your photo? Why do you make yourself look so old?
lol, not going to dye the beard that hides my weak chin .. hereditary, I started going gray at 33 ..
You don’t have to wear a full face and neck of long hair. You’re not alone in this. At least you don’t suffer scraggly neck beard only. You’re not full hillbilly style. Everyone starts going gray around then. It just goes faster for some than others with a few rare exceptions. Thanks for answering
Mexican Coke is vinyl.
Do you think vinyl’s tiny resurgence is because of hipsters? Do you know what group of people companies most target for marketing and promotion? Here’s a hint. It’s not 18-25 year old white men, unless it’s a scam targeting them.
That’s what I just said. I am 45 and there is a very clear line from the hipster/product elitism/style/fashion of the early 2000s — when Mexican Coke became popular with elitists — to mass elitism now and the lumberjack shirt and beard style you see on every other commercial today.
Oh boy. You’re missing steps & attributing popularity & sales to a trend not exclusive to hipsters. Do you ever try looking at things from a “not you” perspective? Today, those people are in their 30s. Now they’re part of target demo. They spend. Moms, specifically. Your influence is waning.
Saying the same - they are not appealing to hipsters today. That was 2000 when Mexican Coke was a “new” and “elite” discovery. My point is exactly that - moms are the new hipsters. There is a direct line/curve of Mexican Coke adoption and popularity from 2000 to today that begins with hipsters.
No. It doesn’t. How much money on Mexican Coke do you think hipsters spent?e Imma No it wasn’t. That’s when you and hipsters got interested. There was a time before.
They are appealing to hipsters today. They’re just in their thirties and raising kids. Joining the MAHA movement. Not vaccinating. They’re just older now. It appears that way because they target people in their tweens who want to be cool. They get mom to buy. Companies also target moms. Moms buy.
Yeah, big oof there..
I don’t know what that means. I can’t read your mind.
MAHA will set us back 50 years if they get their way unchecked. .. but I do agree that we should be restricting things from food manufacturing that other countries have banned for years ..
Oops. I hit buttons by accident as I juggled things in my hands. 🤪
