Womp, and I cannot stress this enough, womp.
Womp, and I cannot stress this enough, womp.
Remember the scene from the original Highlander (there should have been only one!) with Tony the hot dog vendor? "What does 'INCOMPETENT' mean? What does 'BAFFLED' mean?"
Perhaps they will reduce the charge to a 6 inch. 😁
lol
Huh. Turns out they won't actually indict a ham sandwich.
they are so pissed they have to go through the actual legal process
sandwich hit his chest like womp he hit the floor like womp
So many many jokes waiting to be said. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wait, we need an amendment or addendum You can indict a ham sandwich, unless thrown.
But but but the agent was in fear of his life^H^H^H^H^H diet!
bsky.app/profile/dbon...
they'd probably had had better luck indicting the sandwich
Does it count as nullification if the case is bullshit?
As I understand it, legally yes, colloquially no.
(Colloquially JN is mostly used to refer to a specific subset of nullifications. Again, that's as far as I understand it.)
Yeah
I thought JN meant the jury thought somebody was guilty but acquitted them anyway.
JN means the jury doesn’t give a shit if they’re guilty or not, they’re not deciding on the merits of the case.
Either way, "Throwing a sandwich is not a fucking felony" feels more like responsible use of power, not nullification.
So, nullification is not necessarily an irresponsible use of power; one of the reasons it exists is for exactly such situations. “I don’t care if it technically falls within the law or not, you should fucking feel bad for charging it.”
yes
Oh duh!! Bunch of dumbasses! Never should have been brought!
He beat the wrap (not my original work)
