I had a cat called Basil, I did a painting of him from a photo of the first time he appeared outside the back door (He was a stray). He eventually moved in with us and had a happy 10+ years.

My favorite cats are the orange ones. I lost my Mr Sunshine one year ago in June. He killed a baby bird, then he went in the shade under the sunflowers and passed on. He never learned to use a litter box, when the floor was there why not? He was born July 2008 and lived until June 2024. 18 lb

Wow, Mr. Sunshine could be the descendant of my childhood ginger Pie Puppy, who was the terror of our New York neighborhood. He'd routinely drag the corpses of creatures he'd killed for sport to our backyard where they all received a proper burial. Pie was 18 pounds of cat menace! But I loved him❤️🐈⬛

My previous yellow, Gato, would kill the rabbits, the gopher, and one rattlesnake in my mom's Organic Garden. Then he brought just the innards to the door except for the snake, he bit that in half. Mom loved to be barefoot. In the morning she'd on step a liver or worse. San Diego 1986

When he was young, he had an incredibly long tail, and then he grew into it. He was the same size as the miniature poodle. They would chase one way, then reverse rolls and chase the other way back and forth around the garden

I'm 86, and I don't want to have to leave animals behind. I just adopted a three-year-old dog, and if my timing is good, we will finish together. I found the cost of the canned food on my income steep. Maybe with a female, I could stick to dry food. The vet bills were also high.
