“Do you even listen to Trump talk or just clips?” is a common refrain from MAGA like if I listen to Trump longer I will somehow find him brilliant. I listen and I hear someone well outside of his depth of knowledge. He nearly always sounds like he just learned something for the very first time.
I don’t know why it isn’t obvious and concerning when MAGA hears leaders of other countries gather that they are able to speak much more substantively in English as their second language than Trump is in English as his first and only language.
When he doesn’t try to haphazardly repeat a fact he just learned (like defining the word “groceries” incorrectly), his crutch is to compliment himself and make jabs at everyone else, including Biden, other world leaders whether they’re in the room or not, members of Congress, and Rosie O’Donnell.
