Sorta, but the Entente still did /so many interestingly fucked up things/ to various other countries and colonies that it is hard for me to look particularly negatively on Pearse taking some German guns.

Oh, for sure, but I usually don't begrudge liberation movements that anyway. In the same vein that I'm fine with Mandela and MK accepting Soviet guns and with the ARBiH accepting Iranian and Saudi guns.

Like it was a deal with a devil but all subsequent deals with devils for the remainder of human history since have been far less morally ambiguous.
