I actually do see Midsommar as a Good for Her movie, but that's because I interpret it as allegory rather than a telling of events literally occurring

Also a valid interpretation! I personally saw it as a metaphor for her sorting out all her feelings in her head. Brutally cutting some people out of her life when necessary. Just ripping apart the image of them she has in her head and letting it die.
I was seeing it more like, she could not stand up for herself, even agains the people in her life that treated her the worst, and compared to that life, the cult FELT safer and more comforting, so she chose it, much to the detriment of the entire main cast.
