Consumerism is bad for everyone but the billionaires. Congratulations on your recovery! I, too, have avoided Amazon. My wallet seems heavier lately.

For me the only reason I have amazon at all anymore is I get it for free as a work perk (my boss is a affiliate via a corporate network)
The deviousness of consumerism… Bezos now has captive consumers, buying HIS products and services, by making people think they’re getting - and giving - “free” perks. And the corporate network has captured thousands, or millions, of consumers for Bezos. But don’t get me wrong: you ARE getting a
good deal. So is your boss - he has a free perk to offer you instead of paying you more. The damage is really done by Bezos, when he chooses to sell products made in China at marked-up prices that are still too low for local mfrs to match, eventually putting them - and their workers - of business.
Actually I get paid pretty well, I mean its a small company so I am not going to hold him up asking for a raise right now since I have another job on the side. I mean we have discussed raising my pay and hes been on the level with me so I cant bear him too many grudges.
I mean my bosses company is a small fish in a big ocean here and we have had decent successes, but we know the market is volatile so the amazon affiliation is more of a safety net, the company can break free at any time but not now in this mess of a situation.
PLEASE don’t make any decisions based on my comments! Everyone is in their own unique situation. You gotta do what’s best for you!
Yeah, I mean trust me my boss is not a fan of Bezos or Trump for that matter but he knows sometimes you have to play the hand you are dealt with. I mean we were almost ready to leave Amazon but nope Trump got back into office so we are tied with them for another few years.
