Sad O'Brien POTD Larry Jones. Toledo G was drafted 20th in 64 by PHI. Was cut early in 64 & played in EBL til hooking up w/ABA in 67. Scored 25 ppg from 67-71. Was ABA's all-time points leader thru 71 but fell off after & retired by 74. Coached & taught after. RIP.

Jones had 7,789 points to lead the ABA thru 71, 683 more than Dampier. Thereafter, Dampier scored another 6,620 points to lead the ABA, while Jones only had another 1,862, ending 16th overall by the time the ABA folded in 76.
