Hollander POTD Tim Hardaway. UTEP PG was drafted 14th by GS in 89. Started right away & blew away foes w/crossover. All-Star 3x in 1st 4 yrs before knee injury in 93. Came back in 94 but lost job & was traded to MIA where he found his mojo again. Finally got in the HOF.

Hardaway is also a fantastic example of personal growth. Bro was a huge, vocal homophobe and has since denounced his former words and become an ally. What a guy.

Also with one of the coolest nicknames, if not "the" coolest, for their signature move, "The UTEP Two Step". His crossover wasn't as exaggerated as AI's, but just as devastating.

For buying power sake, Sr earned close to 100m in today’s money using the inflation calculator rate back at the 1995 juncture. It’s crazy the 1980s and 1990s players, the era that made the NBA a global brand, and extremely profitable received so little of it financially in real time.

New CBA may balance that a lot more, as we see trends of quality role players not getting Mid-Level money deals because teams can’t access them or aren’t willing to spend them fully. Pops was a legit All-Star and, pre-injury, rising superstar.
