Everybody should write a little everyday with a pencil/pen and paper in a notebook just for you. A few lines about the sunset. A description of a bird. A mundane to-do list with the occasional insane aside.

Nothing wrong with writing digitally! Honestly, I probably "write" best typing since I wrote a dissertation that way and then a working life that's mostly documents and email. But there's something about the mechanics of writing by hand. To me, at least. Could be age dependent.
