Complexity is the single biggest barrier to adopting EVs. Here in in BC we observe the need for multiple plugs, multiple apps, multiple cards and multiple account balances because people don't know what charger will be working / available.

I encourage EV Charging network operators to reach out to other EV charging operators. BC Hydro, FLO, ChargePoint, Coop, EV go, Shell recharge, Petro Canada, Chevron on the go etc. to build those interoperability agreements.

We recommend that their card & app works on others chargers and others work on theirs. For Plugs - NACS is being built into most EVs starting in 2025. Make sure stations are ready to charge using NACS. This also helps them serve the 50% of North American EVs that are Tesla. #MakeItEasy
