I feel like a phone exchange with how many crossed wires inside me. Unfortunately lacking in the amount of women tho

There's like so much crossover with this shit. I'm also just now realizing I probably have EDS like my sister. Apparently this specific histamine condition like hayfever is also a super common comorbidity as well that I almost definitely have too.
It's weird but with every bit I start to work out I begin to understand how to cope better and healthier so, yknow, could be worse.
Yeah it's like we always dealt with the stuff, but now we have access to words and and ways to find out how other people have dealt with it too.
I had one of those conversations recently where a lot of it sounded very familiar but I was like ah no there's some key differences, I get anxious yes but I don't have any rituals. Now I'm realising that uhh, yeah I do I just didn't realise they were that.
Take it from the ADHDer who studied Archaeology, ritual is such an incredibly nebulous concept once you really get to it. :D
I mean, not in this sense though
Forgive my ignorance in this case, how so? Ritual is far from the religious connotations most people think of. A morning routine, a comfortable habit, etc. All can be defined as personal rituals.
A ritual in regards to OCD is an act you do that removes the anxiety. You get a thought, this causes an anxiety, you do something to relieve it. The most common one people think of is washing hands a bunch.
It's often not even a cause and effect thing. If I'm right one of my more common ones is just locking and unlocking my phone a bunch
Woman who can't sleep without headphones in even when there's nothing playing through them - haha my little quirks Woman who has to lie on her side to sleep and occasionally turn over even if comfortable because she gets anxious if she doesn't - that's actually normal
Yeah, they're comorbid conditions too, so pretty commonly found together. OCD also has a lot of symptoms most people don't know about thanks to media reinforcing only one through stereotypes so it can take a while. I only figured it out recently too thanks to others talking about intrusive thoughts.
I know ADHD and OCD are but bipolar too?
I wasn't sure on that one but in looking it up apparently so. And bipolar with ADHD too.
Yeah I knew about bipolar and ADHD and ADHD with OCD. Just my luck to roll the triple there
I've been operating a one in, one out policy for a while now. every time something (new or old) rears its head I go nah mate, ADHD's having its turn (though I dealt with OCD for a very long time and almost beat it entirely only to recognise it was mostly just overcompensation for untreated ADHD,,)
