Yeah that was kinda my impression. I just wasn't sure because I haven't listened to much of the older canonical stuff.

Like some of the bands back then had super leftist members and sometimes you see that reflected in the lyrics, but a lot of that probably has more to do with how rooted in thrash 1st wave black metal was tbh
