There are so many spots on this wild ride where if a few public officials just thought of the good of the nation over their own political aspirations it could’ve prevented all of this. We’re being punished for our sins now.

I guess that's how it usually happens.. Some actively helped him, MANY with power just did nothing. And what's that old saying? "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing"

Mainly I blame Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, and the conservative majority on the Supreme Court. They held the door open for these barbarians.

Yeah.. I thought the immunity ruling was the beginning of the end.. Worse, they weren't specific about what constitutes a president's "outer perimeter of official responsibility" and the presumtive nature of the immunity... So that way they get to decide what counts + what doesn't
