I have a language suggestion, which everyone can do, but is primarily for media members who value truth and Democratic politicians: Instead of asking and adjudicating if an obvious lie is false, make the fact that it's false your premise. "Why are you lying?" instead of "some say that's not true."
Mainly I blame Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, and the conservative majority on the Supreme Court. They held the door open for these barbarians.

There are so many spots on this wild ride where if a few public officials just thought of the good of the nation over their own political aspirations it could’ve prevented all of this. We’re being punished for our sins now.

The purpose of writing illegal executive orders is solely to get it to SCOTUS for them to overturn the precedent Trump doesn’t want to follow. And he gets to do a bunch of illegal shit until then. The default setting in America is “Trump is right about the law.” It’s disgusting.
It’s wild that we all have to behave as though all illegal stuff is fine until the Supreme Court itself says no. Not only that, the President can apparently ignore all Supreme Court precedent ever set as well and effectively declare he doesn’t like certain precedent and it should be changed.
If it’s decided that Trump’s tariffs were illegal (which they were) every single American business that had to pay the tariffs should be entitled to sue for their money back. Why should the federal government be allowed to profit off of an illegal tax?

If there’s one thing I’m pretty confident of it’s that the Supreme Court doesn’t want Trump screwing with rich people’s money. This case will test whether SCOTUS is completely deluded or cynically politically pragmatic.
The Supreme Court is untethered by all law at the moment, but they do seem very politically wary about decisions that would actually destroy the economy. It’s why they said “the FED is different to all other quasi-independent agencies” with no legal reasoning differentiating the two.
By a 7-4 vote, the full Federal Circuit has *affirmed* a lower-court ruling holding that many of President Trump’s tariffs exceed his statutory authority. The ruling won’t go into effect until October 14, though—which gives the Trump administration plenty of time to seek intervention from #SCOTUS:

Correct. The default Dem position has to be, "I will fire everyone Trump appointed, and everyone hired by anyone Trump appointed, regardless of what any statute or court says." Anything less is a ratification of Trump's actions that leaves the government broken and filled with saboteurs.
To make the stakes clear, potential Dem Presidential candidates should say that if SCOTUS allows this they will fire any Trump Fed appointees in 2028. Because that is the logical endpoint.
