won't get covid if you got vaccinated. I missed mine because I was sick the day I was scheduled for it, but after seeing what was going on firsthand, and it wasn't what we were being told, I knew something wasn't right. I was aslo having some other health issues and three of my doctors told me

That is pretty bad misinformation. Why would they say that? It just makes me sad… of course the trust is gone after We were always told that it would give us better immunity and chances were any infections would be less dangerous. Ppl could get COVID multiple times, that’s bad science

I use this as a reminder for people. I also love the song playing in the background. I literally watched all my vaccinated friends getting covid so what they were saying didn't match reality.

🤔They are all different. Disappointed in Fauci. Gates seemed to describe herd immunity and was more careful. He is fairly knowledgeable usually because of his foundation. They are doing cutting edge stuff in health In Canada we were told to keep masking until the transmission rate was down

I masked for quite some time and then it just stopped. People were sick of it I guess. I always carried one around just in case it was required though, but that is a thing of the past now.

I still mask, as recommended by my physician, when transmission rates go up. I am considered at very high risk (think asthma). Or when I feel under the weather. To protect others It’s not politicized in Canada the same way as the US so I feel safe. Hospital workers, etc mask all the time as well

I don't even hear about transmission rates here. I've got asthma as well. Doctors and hospitals no longer require, or use, them from what I've seen recently. It's probably due to fatigue from the last few years, but who knows really.

To me that sounds scary. One of my best friends works in pediatrics and she wears her specially fitted N95 all day at work, regardless of transmission rates. Because she works with sick children. I sometimes feel like the decision became political rather than evidence based in the US…

Politics played a part for sure. There's also the Cochrane Review which said they didn't make a difference and even Fauci admitted it as well. Ultimately the majority of people did not wear N95s so masking really was kind of pointless with the cloth masks which most wore and barely washed. Gross.

I only bought N95 and tried to fit them properly as best I could, but they certainly weren't perfect. I also saw so many people only wearing to cover their mouths. I just have to laugh at that. And we have to wonder why they just weren't effective.

I was always told the masks were to protect others not yourself. I guess that is A hard sell for some. It keeps my mucus to myself. It’s a non issue though if you don’t have compliance. Then it isn’t an effective method. Period I also found this www.factcheck.org/2023/03/scic...

Yes. I remember the last time I had to go to emergency for breathing issues ppl were taking their masks off to cough. They are hard to fit without professional help. In my case I am also sensitive to smoke, etc and it just helps to have that layer filtering the air.

Btw, I am not against vaccines. I am up to date on all of mine. I just don't take the flu shot or covid. The main thing about the nasal spray is it works and binds to the ACE2 receptors where the virus enters your body. Essentially blocking the other respiratory viruses from entering.

If anything does get into my cells, the Azelastine also makes it difficult fro the virus to spread from cell to cell, lowering the viral load and making it easier for the immune system to defeat it faster. I suspect we'll be seeing more nasal sprays in the future.

to hold off until they could figure things out. I ended up getting two other vaccines during that time, but for different reasons. Just never got the covid one in the end. I was face to face with those infected and still never got it though. Color me lucky!

Or you got it and you didn’t have an immune system response I need to hold back on being nerdy here but I’ve had these discussions with so many people about moving health in the direction of complexity. Different people need different treatments and different people react differently to the same tx

I had multiple antibody tests over the years. I take a nasal spray which binds to the position of the cell where the virus enters. My ENT prescribed it for something else and it worked against sars-cov-2. It works against other respiratory viruses too. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...

Yes. I use the same nasal spray. Although I might have had COVID. They were out of tests when I got sick 😂. Because of the public nature of my health services, I have not asked for an antibody test. I didn’t feel worth the money for me. No one got sick from me.

My ENT and Primary Care doctor have asked their patients and none of them had gotten covid that were using the nasal spray. Even if you did get it, you would probably only have had it for about 3 days, but if nobody else got it from you, you probably didn't get it and maybe got something else.

That was at the height of the transmission rate and someone in my bubble got it from caring for a parent who got COVID from going on a cruise. So she was extending the bubble But we saw each other once and I was masked. I’ll probably never know
