No thanks. You can't cure cancer by annoying it.
By the way, Cancer might be deemed too expensive to treat and DENY.
So which is it LeeAnn? Get fucked or get angry and do the hard ugly thing? You don't get it both ways, LeeAnn.
Most people are angry but apparently not you.
Right. Only your shit lib rage counts. Not disenfranchised disabled trans people that have done this for decades. Go be centrist trash on Twitter.
Ever had anyone die you know from being denied? Or ever worried your insurance could be denied on a whim? I have to both. Unfortunately I'm still worried about the later. I try to keep healthy because I fear getting denied or going medical bankrupt.
I don't believe in laying there and letting insurance companies get away with their bs also they will never cure cancer or for that matter anything...ever..
Centralism will be the death of us all. SO, NO THANK YOU.
So, bend over and spread those cheeks.
What do you propose?
Well after the first 10 years, when we finally became a non profit, we were approached by a senator to help change and implement policies that were on their way to bipartisan supported laws until 2016. Then we worked to implement those policies into law with less bipartisan support after 2020.
Now our organization has been warned that we will be called a terrorist affiliated nonprofit in '25 and we may lose everything. So we did successfully lobby congress before the fascism truly took hold. But now it's either wait for them to leave office again OR show them what a terrorist really is.
So organize and do whatever you're calling for. Do it loud and with as many different people as possible in poverty and red-line and wrong side of the tracks areas as you can find. But absolutely cut the "without violence" crap. People has seen far too much to be told it won't work.
Don't encourage it. But don't constantly scream there's another way that's more effective, we've heard it. You know who got the hard things done when no one else could? The ones willing to do more than words. You wanna know who that was in my nonprofit? Me.
You wanna know what a little more than talking and chanting got us? Access to senators and the chance to change policies that had real impact on peoples lives. I got dirty. We got dirty. Things changed. I wish you the best of luck for your organizing. I truly do.
Thank you.
