We were pulling into the office in London once and my English boss saw English flags on a few cars. He mutters “Oh, is the EDF in town?” and then felt bad and said, “Oh, it’s just the rugby”.
It really says something about a flag when an ultra generic white English guy’s first reaction upon seeing it is to assume racism is happening nearby.
