Normal people & non-extremist political parties do need to defend our right to patriotism & national symbols. I’m not SURE this is the best way to go about it.

We were pulling into the office in London once and my English boss saw English flags on a few cars. He mutters “Oh, is the EDF in town?” and then felt bad and said, “Oh, it’s just the rugby”.

It really says something about a flag when an ultra generic white English guy’s first reaction upon seeing it is to assume racism is happening nearby.
