This isn’t really true. Tariffs combined with dairy and ethanol issue would do well with the “dead economy” narrative. BJP doesn’t want to talk about the economy or justify their economy. It’s an issue it completely avoids. It’s why pliant media is doing the attacking but BJP isn’t confronting.

Mine is a comment only about the public reception, not the underlying economics. I agree that the media is highly pliant to Modi, but that’s the issue

gandhi is mostly trying to triangulate to a position where he can both look tough on Modi's record on the economic front (which is why he basically doubled-down on the dead economy thing from Trump) while also pushing for an Indian civic nationalist identity imo

Why is RaGa even there? Huge liability to the party, and last year's election was close enough that better campaigning could have swung it. Does he not have the shame to resign and leave politics to non-nepotists?
