like i said, i feel like Pope Leo was the Curia's way of basically picking Lib JPII, primarily because they knew immigration and America would be flashpoints

He’s sort of everyone’s pope. He’s both an American and a Peruvian citizen, he has Creole ancestry, he’s White Sox fan, he supports the Ukrainians etc. And the people who don’t like him seem to be the reactionary Nazi set. 🤷🏻‍♂️
