I just delete any texts or emails she sends since her interaction with Franken. She did not permit due process. And he was entitled to that at a minimum.

“Forever Healthcare” is a trope. Not defending them, but in the run up to the ACA, I “did my own research.” Their healthcare is never free. It’s deducted from their salaries just like any employee. The longer they serve, the lower their costs, but when they retire, they COBRA just like anyone else.

Al Franken made the choice to resign. He hasn’t tried a comeback. I can’t condone his brand of sexual harrassment “comedy,” but I can respect his choice to hold himself accountable. Also not condoning Gillibrand’s endorsement of Cuomo.
She didn’t leave him a choice, especially after he asked for due process and she refused to stand by him while the facts came out. We, the voters of Minnesota, should have had our say in his tenure, not the state of New York.

Yes I do, and I believe Anita Hill. My whole issue with the op is that this was not a case of a single comedy photo. The hypocrisy with which men meet consequences for their sexual harassment is unacceptable, as is how women are blamed when calling it out.
I mostly agree with you. You're consistent in your thoughts rather than politically expedient. My one point of disagreement would be that Al Franken was denied due process - a hearing before the ethics committee - while all the more powerful men who have done worse remain in power.
We preach due process for suspected members of MS-13 but almost no one speaks out for Al Franken. He's like the Bear Stearns of political #metoo.
