If you parent children like that you end up with spoiled brats. Dems need to learn to stand their ground, not be bullies or assholes, just hold firm in what you want and don’t give into the whining and tantrums. The most effective Dems are the ones who are just not accepting this shit as normal

I tend to agree. But let us remember, no matter what Democrats do, they are blamed for everything. If they cave to avoid a shutdown, they are blamed for the consequences of Rs hideous, harmful policies. If they don’t cave & there is a shutdown, they get blamed for the consequences.
It NEVER changes. Ds rarely get credit for legislation they pass, in the face of R obstruction, that does good for the many. In November 2024 our economy was the envy of the world. Biden & Ds turned it around. Yet voters were too willfully ignorant to know this & voted for Trump over eggs & Gaza
