I refer to the national guard troops, they got called up. It’s not voluntary. I feel for them. Indoctrinated to follow orders, it’s the leadership who ordered it that should answer for the deployments to pick up trash.

Here is a photo of my team holding up bags of trash we collected in Kuwait. Soldiers pick up trash and rake leaves. It’s part of the “leave it cleaner than you found it” tradition of American military culture. It’s a real thing. It would be weird if they DIDN’T pick up trash.

I guess my thoughts are that I’d rather they employed citizens for it and let these soldiers resume their lives. There’s no need. The cost of this theater would be better applied to local forces.

💯 agreed. The people we have been electing for the last forty years disagree. 2026 could be the year we change that. They don’t care what we think or post, only how we vote.
