We won't win everyone over. You never do. But there IS a great fertile ground to work with..IF we don't scare them off first. We need to reach out to them, show them why we think our ideas are better and..hopefully, they stick around long enough to see that benefit too. Thats political organizing.

Tried that last election. Trump won. Let’s do something different, like actually engaging our base and making people think we’re going to fight for them.

So… why can’t we do that with people towards the left of center, or the people who want things like robust civil rights protections for vulnerable people? Why is their fear irrelevant?

Fear is never irrelevant, it's a real thing. I just know that our politics covers a LOT of ground. Right now, on the Progressive side, we are on the ropes, and need to pull our act together..and that may mean discarding the more petty differences we may have..versus survival.
