Although, Indiana was a Confederate sympathizing state. And Ohio effectively was, too. Back then, it would’ve been much more difficult. Today, the ability to construct those bullet train railways in the red states between blue states could present real problems.

I foresee roadblocks, literally and figuratively. They’d have to be funded by blue states without any federal funds. They’d have to contract with rail companies specializing in true high speed rail, because the fossil-fueled rail industry is aligned with the right wing, thus red states. Thoughts?
