I think you are wrong about this, its not so much as an effect to make you not tunnel, its a rebalance compensation for a team-mate who died too fast. What it will do, it will Kill the advantage that early game tunneling has, you can still tunnel past 6 hooks, you know.
I will be fine with it if the compensatory buffs for Killer are a) permanent, b) more than 5% OR stackable over time if they're 5%. I am fine with an antitunnel mechanic that rewards hook spreading, I prefer hook spreading. I just think this could be abused by some teams and needs LOTS of testing.
I just feel BHVR gave us two or three sticks and one carrot and it doesn't feel good. I also think they will need to buff a LOT more Killers and on top of that probably address other things Survivors have to make this fair. I don't think the patch is the end of Killer, I think it needs to be tested.
I can understand how it can feel that way, but we have been bleeding players over tunneling for 9 years. I rather do too much and scale it back rather than scale it back and not do much. We will be testing it the most once it hit live.
I agree and think this is a step towards the right direction. But if all this goes live, there MUST, must be a serious addressing of Gen progression and speed, and MUST be serious Killer buffs going forth. These changes are not fair to Killers like my n main who don't have much to stop it.
True, luckily for us, non tunneling gameplay gets buffed next patch. How sick is that.
I'm very excited for that! You mean my stalker gets free haste I can stack with other haste and free info? I love that! And I get some extra Gen pop, and best of all, the top tiers that don't need that DON'T get that? AND body blocking is gone? And it's all for free if I don't tunnel?
This is straight up a Ghostface buff, now I get free stalk action per hook AND I won't accidently waste it with aim dressing hitting the unhooked person when I want the unhooker. My only concern is this could encourage proxy camping.
I agree. Sometimes during a game you have a survivor who just isn't on top of their game and they continously get caught out. In that situation what am I supposed to do? Let them go and reward bad gameplay? Cause if i hook them, i get punished.
My big concern is those edge cases. How does no Killer Instinct affect Sadako and Pinhead? Can an Elusive Surv now just sit and reveal Ghostface but he gets no info? What about Survivors who dress all the same to confuse the Killer on purpose? Sabo squads? Did BHVR think of ANY of these edge cases?
TBH, the more I think about it, the less I like these changes. Only real change i like is the anti-slugging changes cause no one likes being on the ground for the entire game. Just think the timer should be a but longer.
