Anyway I didn’t pay and I didn’t enter. I just wanted to sit on a bench and look at the water, and I accomplished that for free

In my experience most places that say they have a walk-on fee (cape cod national seashore beaches come to mind) don’t actually charge you to walk on. Singing Beach is a definite exception!! They are getting every penny out of every visitor!
