Didn't say it prevented propaganda. RW media like Fox or Clear Channel presented a biased, only one viewpoint & were used as TOOLS of propaganda. They operated on licenses. Veto of the FD was phase 1 of the CNP. It was downhill after that.

You must really love "community voices" shows aired on local stations at times like 5:30 Sunday AM. That'd be about the only noticeable difference if the Fairness Doctrine was re-instated.

I've never advocated for the return of FD. Its time has passed. That doesn't mean its veto didn't lead to any damage. Biased RW conservative talk shows & FOX News were listened to in silos.Critical thinking was lost & a cult was formed. Project1980 came before Project2025.There's no need to insult.📌

Rush Limbaugh was crushing the competition in California when the Fairness Doctrine was in effect. Had it remained it would have had no impact in his syndication, nor on cable networks that came later like FoxNews. These RW silos exist because there is a demand for it. Simple as that.

But none of that has any relation to your claim that the "veto did its damage" and the conclusion that it was highly impactful in creating the wave of RW propaganda machines. What came next happened due to technological advancements. With or without the FD, FoxNews was going to eventually exist.

Fox News did not "operate on licenses". Cable channels did not and do not have licenses because there's nothing to license.
