I could talk about the dress code at my fundamentalist Baptist church & school for hours. LOL
I'm sure. Lotta Jews who leave more Orthodox communities go through something similar, esp. women-- the stuff re: modesty is intense, and the psychological impact is real. But it's not a burka, it's a teen in a sweater & long jean skirt, so to the outside viewer it doesn't push that *exotic* button.
And since it doesn't hit that button.. or whatever invented threshold lets the viewer back away and focus on their own profit.. they'll let it go.
