I've noticed that too. As soon as I tell anyone about a thing I'm making, I suddenly lose the ability to finish it. I do not know why that is. I just can't.

I heard that it's because in talking about the project in depth, you get the dopamine hit you would normally get from actually finishing the project. so you brain files it as 'done' and can't summon the will to actually do it.
