He invokes unanimous consent regularly. Of course you don’t know because there hasn’t been a crisis worth exiting the procedures of the Capitol to leverage oligarchs and tyrants since last century. Folks like Schumer are too constrained by their donors to do anything out of the ordinary - boycotts

Regular business in the Senate runs through unanimous consent as opposed to historic procedure because Senators want it to move quickly without debate. It's a cop out.
If Dems try and blanket block unanimous consent, Senate Republicans will ditch it. Maybe that's no bad thing, but it does mean that it's not a tactic that can be used unrestrictedly.

Republicans don't give a shit about protests, and 'showing up to R events' isn't going to do anything to disrupt Congressional Rs. Boycotts can be judged on a case-by-case basis, but they're unlikely to shift donor behaviour as long as Dems are out of power.

Endorse protests and boycotts against R donors. Show up to R events and call out hypocrisy. Rally around a new Democratic platform that helps shed their out-of-touch image, including literal rallies.
