Rising up to varying degrees of severity throughout history - truly before Emerson, and after. Anyway, like I said, I was unable to find the specific instance where this was explained in detail, and it may not have been, and I am only remembering reading it from some Wikipedia or AI/LLM summary

Which is besides the point because whether it was Emerson, or Carlyle, or some anon Wikipedia editor, or even an AI/LLM (which inputs its outputs from humans outputs) - it is true, and is still true, and it is the main issue causing widespread harms throughout human history.
