Ignore what they say and watch what they do. That applies to both parties. Yes, Gavin Newsom has said some vile shit regarding trans people. He also signed a number of bills into law protecting trans people. Is he perfect? No. Is he evil? Also no.

This happened after those things. 2025 is after 2023. In 2023, he may have signed such bills. In 2025, he's speaking publicly about how we can't be trusted to govern our own bodies. Fuck Gavin Newsom and his hateful shit.

Also bathroom bills I believe? Law requiring businesses to let everyone use bathroom corresponding to their gender identity & another requiring public schools to provide gender neutral bathrooms. I don’t know why he has said the things he’s said. But his record is of protecting rights too.

in years past, he allowed some trans-friendly bills passed by the legislature to become law by signing them. more recently, he vetoed a bill that would have increased access to transition-related healthcare, and lately he's been repeatedly declaring his personal opposition to trans healthcare

Well if it's any of your business, which it isn't, I didn't vote. I never vote. Because I actually see that we the people do not have an actual say in our elections. It's the corporations that decide the races.
