Pete Buttigieg. I respect his intellect & insight. I align with many of his views on policy. I would like to see him in a stronger leadership position someday. But I would not accept him as a candidate if voters did not choose him. No kings. No queens. No appointments by those with money & power.

Sure. Not arguing against that. Part of it is black primary voter infrastructure is more closely tied with the party operation itself. But that aside, Bernieβs campaign team didnβt understand the older black democrats mindset for sure. He did mop up with young black people though.
As far as black people being the Dem base. It is bad strategy. A majority of the Harris vote in 2024 came from white people. Building your base with a group of people that arenβt even a majority of your voters is probably a bad idea. I propose Instead of focusing on a βbase,β focus on a coalition.

Absolutely correct. Field the best slate of candidates possible, pick one during primary and all work towards getting them elected. The work starts with local elections and midterms. If we donβt win there, probably nothing else matters
