It does have to do with hormones etc incl cortisol. Common in folks w ADHD if that applies. There are some ways to try to moderate it (early exposure to sunlight, lots of exercise/mvmt thruout day, diet (types of food consumed & what time). But some of it is just baked in (night owls vs morn larks)

Yeah, I think I recall that it is also ADHD related, which very much applies.

I didn’t know the cortisol part and I am more of a night owl but there’s definitely a point (and it’s easy to miss and not necessarily consistent) at which I need to immediately go to bed or my body is going to decide it needs to add adrenaline to keep me awake
