I can believe it. I once spun at 70mph on a dual carriageway and afterwards my partner told me she'd been screaming 'oh shit' the whole time, and I had not been aware of it at all

(the car went through 180deg by which time most of the speed was scrubbed off and I had control so I just used the remaining momentum to back onto the verge. I'd swerved reflexively as the car in front hit a pheasant and flung it right back at me)
It takes so little, doesn't it?
It really doesnβt. Slightly damp road, two swerves - to avoid the pheasant, then to avoid the kerb, and the car broke grip and went around. Iβd have been really interested to see how it looked from the cars behind Iβd also be interested to know how fast texting woman was going - it looked fast
It was probably mainly because of the camber of the road but she can count herself fortunate the car drifted right and not left
There's a reason I've always been a driver cautious enough to annoy the shit out of everyone else on the road.
Safest to assume everyone else is a terrible driver only paying half attention and not put yourself in their hands
Mind you it's been years since I last drove a car, so.
